2021 Teachers Day: LABASCO Old students celebrate their teachers

Old students of Lagos Baptist Secondary School Orile Agege, has joined rest of the world to celebrate their teachers who taught them in the school over thirty years ago.

The students, who graduated from the school popularly called LABASCO in 1987, appreciated all their teachers who impacted them purposeful education.

The old students in a press release signed by the Acting president of the old students association of their set, Comrade Gbenga Soloki, thanked almighty God for the gift of live to most of them and their teachers who are still alive.

The statement reads; “let us use this opportunity to join the entire world to celebrate teachers on this year’s teachers day. Particularly, we wish to celebrate our own teachers who taught us in LABASCO, some of them have gone to the great beyond, we want to use this opportunity to pray for the repose of their souls. And to those still alive, we celebrate your impactful education on us. God will crown your efforts with success on your endeavors. We are proud of you as teachers. Your strict nature while under your tutelage really shaped us into who we are today “.

Finally, the students used the occasion to also appeal to the governments at all levels to ensure that teachers are treated properly as they remain the moulder of all responsible person in the world.

“On the celebration of this year’s teachers’ day, we celebrate all our teachers for moulding us into responsible citizens. “
