230 in Lagos as NCDC records 661 new cases of COVID-19

There seems to be no end in sight to the continued increase in the number of coronavirus pandemic cases in the world.

Nigeria which hitherto recorded low cases has now joined the rest of the world with high cases as the nation’s disease Control body, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 661 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.

As the figures continue to grow, Lagos State remains the epicentre of the virus as it recorded 230 of the 661 newly recorded cases.

The NCDC stated that with the newly recorded cases, a total of 19,808 COVID-19 has been confirmed in the country with 6,718 discharged cases and 506 deaths across all the isolation centres.
