It was a joyful day for some students in Oshodi as they were given free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms by the Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Oshodi-Isolo local government, Hon Animashaun Saheed Kolawale.
While handing over the forms to the students, Animashaun urged them to be studious and make Oshodi proud in their examination and future endeavours.
Animashaun said his choice to give the students free forms was burned out of the desire to better education.
“I am giving to ease the plights of the students, especially those whose parents can not afford the cost of purchasing the form. It is also part of my desire for the growth and development of education in Oshodi-Isolo local government”
Animashaun who is now acting chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Oshodi, while in the race for the Oshodi-Isolo local government Chairman position said education development is one of his cardinal point that would have been vigorously pursued if he had not withdrawn from the race.
He said his withdrawal from the chairmanship race does not in any way deprive him of working for education development in the council.
“It is true that I have withdrawn from the race, this free form has been part of my campaign promises.”
One of the beneficiaries, Wahab Barakat, appreciated Hon Animashaun for the gesture and prayed for God’s continued bless on him.
