The chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede, has urged students in the council to be studios and make the local government proud in their studies.
Oloyede hands this advise down to the students on Tuesday during free General Certificate Examination (GCE) forms distribution to indigent students at the council secretariat.
Indigent students in Oshodi-Isolo local government who are beneficiaries of the free GCE form of the council boss have been advised to study hard and come out in flying colours to justify the the gesture.
The council boss while supervising the data capturing of the students at the council secretariat urged beneficiaries of the GCE forms to remain committed to their students and be focussed in life.
Otunba Oloyede disclosed that under his administration, education will be accorded its rightful priority, stressing that the pupils are the leaders of tomorrow and any leader who is desirous of a prosperous future must invest in education.
He urged the pupils to see the gesture as the first one and he will continue to support indigent and exceptionally brilliant students in the council area.
He said, “let me congratulate you for being successful. I want to assure you of our continuous support always. So in reciprocating our gestures, please study well and make Oshodi-Isolo local government proud. We are ready and willing to support you, our future leaders. Any leader who wants a secured future, must plan and invest heavily in the education of pupils today.”
“Our administration will continue to encourage and support indigent students in our local government so as to achieve their goals in life and be productive,” he concluded.
