Breaking: Bayelsa Governor, Douye Diri, wins as Supreme court dismisses Alaibe’s suit

The Supreme Court in Abuja has dismissed the suit filed by Ndutimi Alaibe challenging the candidacy of Douye Diri as governor of Bayelsa State.

Alaibe of the same Peoples Democratic Party with Diri has filed a suit challenging the candidature of the latter in the last year’s governorship election at the apex court.

A five-man panel of the Supreme Court led by Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour dismissed the appeal.
