President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Nigeria’s former Minister of Finamce and Economy, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as Director-General of the World Trade Centre ((WTO).
Okonjo-Iweala’s nomination was made public by the Senior Specual Adviser to the President on Public Affairs, Ajuri Ngelale on his Twitter handle @AjuriNgelale on Thursday.
The election into the prestigious position is slated to hold in 2021.

“The President approved her nomination as Nigeria’s candidate for the position during the term 2021-2024. The election is due to hold in Geneva, Switzerland in 2021.”
