CHRISTMAS: Oshodi-Isolo council chair, Oloyede, Feeds over 5,000 Residents

… Residents Appreciate Council Boss, pray for him

In fulfilment of his promise to feed 5,000 residents of Oshodi-Isolo local government area of Lagos, the council chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, has given food packages to over 5,000 residents on Christmas.

Oloyede while doling the food packages to the residents wished them a merry Christmas and prosperous new year in advance.

He reaffirmed his commitment to putting the Oshodi-Isolo local government ahead of others in infrastructural development and people friendly projects that will better the lots of the people.

The council boss said the gesture to give food packages to the people at this Christmas period is to ensure everyone in the council can celebrate the period joyously

He said; “We have resolved to make our government people-focused and this we will never rest until all our people enjoy the dividends of democracy, this food package at this season is just to put food on the tables of over 5,000 residents in the spirit of the celebration. I assure you that more of this is already in the pipeline, we will do all we can to make everyone happy and enjoy dividends of democracy in our local government.

“As I wish you a merry Christmas and prosperous new year ahead, please let’s celebrate moderately and within the ambit of the law. Let’s avoid all forms of act leading to break down of law and order in our community.”

The food distribution was done through the community development committee (CDC) to the community development associations (CDA) in the council thereby making it available at the various communities for people to pick.

Receiving their food packages, the residents could not hide their feelings of joy and excitement as they prayed fervently for the council chairman for long life, sound health and continued God’s blessings on him.

The chairman of the CDC Alhaji Olawoyin thanked the chairman for the food package given to residents saying it was a kind gesture and highly appreciated.

He said; “this is a good gesture, we thank the chairman for this as we appreciate the effort he has been making to make Oshodi a better place for all, we have seen this in his numerous projects in his less than 100 days in office may God bless him more.”

“We will continue ti rally support him for the betterment of our communities in Oshodi, we will give him all the support he needs to succeed in office.”

A woman, Bose Adesola, said, “I was surprised to see the full package being handed over to me, I least expected it, may God bless the chairman, give him good health and continued guidance.”
The festive food package doled out by the executive chairman included 5kg bag of rice, cows, goats and live chicken.
