COVID-19: Nigeria records 573 deaths, total confirmed cases hit 25,133

As the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) continues to battle the novel coronavirus pandemic ravaging the country, a total of 573 death cases have been recorded as the total confirmed cases hit 25,133.

In its report of new cases, the NCDC said 566 cases were confirmed on Monday in the country.

With the new cases, Lagos remains the epicentre of the virus as it recorded 166 new cases. Oyo recorded 66, Delta 53 and Ebonyi 43 among others.

The disease control body also revealed that a total of 9,402 recovered patients have so far been discharged across all the isolation centres in the country.
