The Bliss News learnt that the single mother who sells groceries was on her way to the shop while Yetunde was going to visit her father before the unfortunate incident occurred.

According to the victims and eyewitnesses who spoke to our correspondent, the accident would have been averted if the pedestrian bridge on the airport road where the accident happened had been completed.

They also blamed the accident to the continued protests leading to blockage of roads by the #ENDSARS protesters who block all routes leading to the Muritala Muhammed International Airport.

An eyewitness, Mr Wasiu said: “If not for this #ENDSARS protest people that block the roads, which lead to cars passing one way, this accident would have not happened and also the uncompleted bridge here is another problem,”
