Epe council boss, mourns Chief Rasaq

The executive chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Adedoyin Adesanya has mourned the passing of an All Progressives Congress, chieftain, Chief Lanre Rasaq who died on Saturday.

Chief Rasaq was a Former Chairman of Epe Local Government and Former Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation.

He was until his death a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) and Balogun of Epe Land.

“With heavy heart but total submission to the will of God, I hereby, on behalf of the Executive, Legislative council, Management team members, staff and good people of Epe Local Government announce the death of an Elder Statesman, Political and Community leader, Chief Lanre Rasak,” he announced in a statement.

Hon. Adesanya described Chief Rasaq as a strong advocate of semocracy and development of Epe land whom he further said his death will be missed by all.

He said: “Chief Lanre Rasaq was a strong advocate of the development of Epe and her people. His footprints in the political, community and religious circle of Epe is indelible and will be missed by all.

He will be buried today in Epe according to Islamic rites.

May Almighty Allah grant him Al-Janah Fridaoz and give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,”
