The executive chairman of Eti-Osa local government, Hon. Saheed Adesegun Bankole has mourned the death of a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Akinjagunla in the council.
Alhaji Akinjagunla died on Sunday, 3 January 2021.
Hon Bankole described the late leader of the party as an enigma, a factual person, down to heart personality and an astute politician.
He said, “Death is indeed inevitable, it has taken its toll on one of our own dearest son’s of the soil, an enigma, factual, down to heart personality and an astute politician, Alhaji Akinjagunla who passed on to eternal glory early hours of Sunday, 3rd of January, 2021.”
The council boss on behalf of executives, management and legislators commiserate the late Alhaji Akinjagunla’s family and the APC as he prayed for his repose.
He said, “The Executive Chairman, Eti Osa Local Government, Hon. Saheed Bankole on behalf of the Legislators, Executive/ Management members hereby commiserate with the children and family he left behind while praying to Almighty Allah to forgive him of his shortcomings, accept his soul and give the family and the entire APC leaders/ party members the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
