FG begins recruitment of 774,000 public works service workers, releases website, see how to apply

The Federal Govenrment has officially commenced the process of recruitment of 774, 000 public service workers across the country.

According to the government, the programme, which will be coordinated by the Ministry of Labour, Productivity and Employment, will provide a means of sustenance for jobless youths.

The ministry said 1000 persons will be employed at each of the 774 local governments in Nigeria.

It said the programme would last for three months and the youths will be paid N20,000 per month.

This was contained in a statement on its official Twitter handle at Government of Nigeria @NigeriaGov on Tuesday.

It would be recalled that the Minister of state for Labour, Productivity and Employment, Mr. Fstus Keyamo had inaugurated state selection committee across the country before th initial fisticuffs with the National Assembly suspending the recruitment exercise. But the President over ruled the national assembly and directed Keyamo to continue the recruitment process.
