Just In: Veteran Yoruba Actress Orisabunmi is dead

Nigeria’s Nollywood family is yet hit with another tragedy as a veteran and legend Yoruba Nollywood actress, Folake Onisola, popularly known as Orisabunmi is reported dead.

She was 60 years old.

Onisola’s death was confirmed by the President of the Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) Mr Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr. Latin, on Wednesday.

Mr. Latin said, “She died last night sir’, while another TAMPAN member Tunde Ola-Yusuff also announced the death in a Facebook post.

“She left without goodbye. The sudden death of Mrs. Folake Aremu (ORISABUNMI) has been announced.

“Really a shock on everyone. Iya Oosa, may God rest your Soul among the righteous,” Ola Yusuff wrote.

The late Orisabunmi was married to legendary Nollywood actor Jimoh Aliu, popularly known as Aworo. Although, they’ve separated long before Aworo died on September 17, 2020.
