Kendoo Begins Reconstruction of Mukandas Street, Makinde, Baderin Streets Links

The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has begun reconstruction works on Mukandasi Street, Makinde and Baderin Streets Links in Mafoluku Oshodi, Lagos.

Mukandas is a major Street linking Makinde Oluyeye and also Baderin Street. It is also a path to the Idera Market (Oja Oke).

The roads construction which will be done using paving stones (interlocks), according to the executive chairman are part of his campaign promises to the people of the council and said he won’t renege on fulfilling his promises to the people.

He said; “this is another promise made, promise kept, we are not going to renege on our promises, we will do all we can to bring unprecedented infrastructural development to Oshodi.

This is our home, we don’t have another place we call home but Oshodi, hence we must build the Oshodi of our dreams that will become the cynosure of all eyes.”

The contractor handling the projects, X-Unlimited Resources said the work would be completed in record time.

Residents of the streets could not hide their feelings of joy and excitement as they poured praises on the chairman for the good job he is doing in rehabilitating their streets.

A resident, who sells market on the street, Mrs Silifat Isiaka, said the roads in Mafoluku are in bad states but with the intervention of the chairman, she said they can now have a sigh of relief.

“We are grateful to the chairman for considering our roads for reconstruction, I must say that roads in Mafoluku are not good at all, but we thank God now that the chairman is helping us to repair them,” she said.
