Barely three days to the local government election in Lagos State, leading chairmanship candidate in Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede has called for a peaceful election on Saturday, July 24, stressing that the progress and development of Oshodi should be paramount in the mind of all.
Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede made the admonition while speaking with journalists in his campaign office on his readiness for the Saturday election, stating that he is ready and prepared for the contest.
He said his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is the party to beat in the contest and aggressively campaigning for all candidates despite the sallah break.
The APC candidate said, “let me state with all emphasis that our party is preparing for the Saturday election and we are leaving no stone unturned. Our people were still campaigning all over even during sallah. That shows the level of importance attached to this election. Let me also use the opportunity of this media engagement to admonish out people, especially political parties to eschew violence during and after this election. It’s only a peaceful environment that can guarantee progress and development.”
On his plan if elected, he promised the reorientation and empowerment of the youth will top his agenda as the youths constitute a larger percentage of productive citizenry, and that the environment will also be given adequate attention.
He equally mentioned the health sector and that he will ensure that all the primary health centres are given facelift and that they will be stocked with drugs , while every resident will have access to adequate health care delivery.
The business mogul however predicted outright victory for his party in the election on Saturday so as to be able to replicate the good job of the governor in the local government.
In his words ” I see our party coasting to victory, we have done our home work very well and assiduously, victory will be ours. Our amiable governor is performing, so in order to complement the wonderful exploits of Mr Governor, let’s vote the APC on Saturday”
