Lawmaker Facilitates First High School Project In Shogunle Community

In a bid to promote accessible and qualitative education for the good people of Oshodi-Isolo constituency 1, a member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Bashiru Dawodu has facilitated the establishment of a high school at Shogunle community in the constituency.

Speaking on the giant strides, Hon. Dawodu maintained that education has a pivotal role to play in human development and making the country trend on the progressive path and that has fueled his passion in ensuring that education is really invested into for human development.

“Recently, we presented completed thirty classrooms to the local and state governments, donated school buses and learning materials with school uniforms to improve the welfare and make learning process easier for our children in school. I strongly believe in education because am also a beneficiary.

“Taking further steps and making sure that we leave no stone unturned in our administration, I have facilitated a junior secondary school to Shogunle community for accessible education for our children. This is what we promised during the campaign, we have kept our word,” he said.

Stating further, the lawmaker said; “We are committed to the development of our beloved constituency and we can’t but keep bringing milestones and giant strides projects for the benefit of our people.”

He however urged parents and relevant stakeholders to support the project for people to benefit and improve the educational system in the constituency.

Speaking on the project, an elated traditional ruler of the community, Baale Rafiu Ajisegiri, said the project was a dream come true for the community after many years of countless efforts to achieve the secondary school in the community but to no avail.

“This is a dream come true, we’ve written countless letters to past lawmakers and council chairmen for this development, yet no response until now. The hardship that comes with students in the community schooling elsewhere will become a thing of past.

May God continue to bless honourable Bashiru Dawodu,” he said.
