The Lagos State Head of Service, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola on Thursday, 4th March, 2021 commiserate with the family of Late Sadiq Daba at his resident, MKO Abiola Gardens, CBD, Ikeja.
Late Sadiq Daba, (a Veteran Broadcaster, and Actor) died on Wednesday 3rd March, 2021, after a long term battle with leukemia and prostrate cancer.
Daba, who since the 70s, regaled Nigerians with scintillating performances on TV and in cinemas was noted for his role in the popular 80s soap opera, Cock Crow at Dawn, took ill long time ago and fought bravely with the illness, but at a time it looked like he was winning the battle before death brings a painful finale to a truly great life.
In the condolence register signed at his residence by Muri-Okunola, he stated that Baba Sadiq Daba was a very great man.
He wrote “On behalf of the Governor, the State Government and the people of Lagos State. I commiserate with Mrs Daba, the children and the entire Daba family on the loss”.
He prayed, that the Almighty grants her the fortitude and strength to bear the loss and that the Almighty Allah grants Sadiq Daba, Aljahnah Firdaous.
While responding, the widow, Mrs Mobolaji Daba, a Permanet Secretary PS (Local Government Service Commission), appreciated the Head of Service, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola for his leadership role, just as she expressed her gratitude to the HOS for the timely visit and for being supportive at all times.
Among those who accompanied the Head of Service on the Condolence visit were the members of the Body of Permanent Secretaries, Mr Olusegun Ajibade (PSO), Mr Hakeem Adeniji, PS (Agric), Mr Sina Thorpe, PS (Info & Strategy), Directors and other Management Staff in the Public Service Office, Office of the Head of Service.
