NYCN Oshodi chapter gets new executive

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Oshodi/Isolo local chapter, Lagos State has elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the youths in the local government.

The election which was keenly contested was later done through harmonisation and ratification as the contestants agreed upon.

The harmonisation exercise was conducted by the Vice-Chairman, Lagos West, Jamiu Ademosu and supervised by the Agric, rural, youths and sports development department of the Oshodi-Isolo local government.

At the end of the rigorous but peacefully conducted exercise, Monsuru Ewetade emerged as the Coordinator, Miftaudeen Olamide Maiyegun, Secretary and Alex Amosu Treasurer.

Other executive members that emerged are Daniel Blessing – Deputy Coordinator, Bianca Onyeka Nwachukwu – Deputy Coordinator ii, Abiodun Ogunsiji – Assistant Secretary, Idowu Olaide – Public Relations Officer (PRO), Sulihat Olagunju – Financial Secretary, David Iyileh – Social Secretary and Shuaib Akinyemi – Auditor.

At the end of the announcement, the executive thanked all the stakeholders, the likes HOD of the Youth, Agriculture and Sport Department, Mrs Onasokun Oludayo; members of staff of Oshodi Local Government; former and immediate NYCN’s exco, Oshodi Chapter; delegates from the state council; the past leaders of the council among others for their roles in the emergence of new executives after years of stalemate.

The executive promised to positively represent the youth of the area to an enviable position at the state level and nationally.
