The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh, has provided support for the 25 Victims of the crisis which followed the Endsars protest in Oshodi.
The council boss during the presentation of cash of #100,000 to each of the 25 victims of the #Endsars protest on Thursday said it is so painful that such avoidable crisis has led to the wanton destruction of lives and property within Lagos and Oshodi in particular.
While addressing the victims who are majorly Police officers and occupants of the mini barracks behind Makinde police station whose building were razed down, Hon. Muse Ariyoh commiserated with them and encouraged them not to be dismayed with the incident as it is a phase that is surmountable.
In his words, “It is so painful that many have been rendered homeless due to the incident while the grassroots government has decided to provide immediate support to cushion the effect of the disaster.”
The council Boss, however, assured the victims of the government continuous support and commitment to their welfare till they are able to gain their feet back.
Supol. Solomon Fabiyi in appreciation of the swift relief support of the local government said the incident is still like a nightmare to all the officers involved as they lost all they have worked for including property and certificates which is a tragedy that can’t be forgotten so soon.
In the same direction, the family of Vitalis Ukaegbu who lost their Son as a result of a stray bullet was given financial relief support to assist the burial arrangement.
ASP. Elias Mohammed while giving vote of thanks lauded the swift kind gestures of the council authority in alleviating their suffering occasioned by the havoc wreaked by hoodlums that hijacked a peaceful protest that doesn’t even happen in Oshodi.
