Oshodi-Isolo LG Boss, Celebrates Mum’s 80th Posthumous Birthday

Oshodi-Isolo local government chairman, Hon Idris Bolaji Muse-Ariyoh, along with members of the Ariyoh family celebrated the 80th posthumous birthday of their mother, the late Cheif Mrs Shakirat Modupeola Ariyoh.

Alhaja Ariyoh clocked 80 on Monday, 1 March, 2021 and was gloriously celebrated at her Seinde Calisto resident in Oshodi.

Islamic clerics lead other faithful in prayer sessions for the late political icon on whose tutelage many politicians emerged in Oshodi.

Speaking on the occasion, the Oshodi-Isolo council boss, Ariyoh, said the death of his mum was a great loss to him and the family at large.

“She was my mother, my father and my all in one, I have missed her tutelage, her memory daily lingers on in my mind, she was everything to me,” Ariyoh said.

A sobered but thankful Ariyoh said he would have not been who he is today if not for his mother, who took her through the thick and thin of life.

Ariyoh said his mum tutelage is what is keeping him going in his political life today.

“She suffered a lot for us, she ensured that we are able to become somebody in life. She ensured that I was able to stand on my feet, a lot of things I have done in life is a result of her proper upbringing in my life,” he said.

Ariyoh prayed for continued repose of his mother in al jana firdaous.

Present on the occasion included the Vice Chairman, Hon Daisi Osho, Secretary to the local government, Hon Taoheed Oladipupo, Supervisor for Agriculture, Sports and Youth Development, Hon Animashaun Saheed Kolawale, Supervisor for Environment, Hon Yusuf Adesanya and Chief of Staff to the council Chairman, Hon Dawoud Olajobi.

Other political associates, council officials and family members were also present at the parlour posthumous birthday celebration.

Ariyoh thanked all that graced the occasion and those who could not for their love.
