The National Malaria Programme (NMEP) and SUNMaP2 on Thursday visited the Chairman of Alimosho local govt, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon and other executive members to deliberate the way forward towards eliminating malaria with her upcoming programme.
The Executive chairman, in his response, appreciated the team for coming through and counting Alimosho worthy of benefiting from the scheme.
He said “We so much belief in the health of our people. That is why our focus is to bring the health facility closer to the people”.
The chairman seized the occasion to appeal for the supply of mosquito nets, free drugs, educating materials and sponsorship of Alimosho residents in medical related courses to strengthen the medical team.
Hon. Jelili further advocated for inclusion of trado-medicine into the malarial eradication scheme.
The visiting team includes reserchers, lab scientist, among others assured the council boss of support.
Also present were Hon. Rasheed Abolade, Supervisor for Health, Hon. Taiwo, SSA Health and Dr. Odufuwa, Medical Officer of Health.
