UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital CMD, Prof Olaitan, urges staff commitment to duty

The Chief Medical Director, University of Osun (UNIOSUN) Teaching Hospital, Oshogbo, Professor Peter Babatunde Olaitan has charged members of staff of the Hospital to embrace attitudinal change in the discharge of their duties and in encounter with the hospital’s patients and relations.

Prof Olaitan made the call during an interreligious prayer session to start the New Year in the state capital on Monday.

Prof Olaitan further implored all categories of staff to be professional and do all that is necessary to ensure that patients are promptly and respectfully attended to bearing in mind that anybody can take ill as no human being, of any status, is above sickness.

To ensure total quality service is delivered, the CMD disclosed that the management has instituted a Service Delivery Monitoring Committee. He assured that commendations and sanctions will be appropriately applied as may be necessary from time to time.

In appreciating Governor Isiaka Oyetola for giving attention to requests from the management of the hospital, Professor Olaitan said staff should be excited about the recent development which brought about the change in the name of the hospital to UNIOSUN TEACHING HOSPITAL OSOGBO and see it as a good omen.

The Chief Medical Director hoped for more assistance from Government and Private sector for the hospital’s transformation. He sought the cooperation of all members in the New Year adding that his vision for the hospital can only be achieved when there is robust financing from different sources as well as judicious use of resources by the hospital.

Prof Olaitan wished for fulfilment of aspirations of every member of staff for this New Year.
