We will tame insecurity in Iba – Chairmanship Aspirant

Iba Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos, chairmanship aspirant, under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abiola Yisa, has said the menace of insecurity in the council jurisdiction will be tamed if elected chairman.

Yisa said if elected, his administration will employ local means to tackle the ugly rise in insecurity within the council and profer a lasting solution.

Speaking further, the chairmanship candidate attributed the economic instability in the country to the myriad of insecurity.

According to him, adequate security will guarantee stability in the polity and improved economy.

He described the recent crisis between some commercial motorcyclists and students of the Lagos State University (LASU) as unfortunate.

The government at the grassroots, Yisa said, must address the issue to avoid a future occurrence.

“To tackle insecurity, we need to identify and understand the causes of insecurity. We have carried out an investigation on some of the security challenges affecting Iba and I can assure you that the solution is not far-fetched,” he said.

Yisa promised that security of lives and property in Iba LCDA will be his utmost priority once elected.

He appealed to the APC leaders and members to give him the mandate to carry the flag of the party in the forthcoming local government elections.
