Winners emerge in MSSN Oshodi Quran Competition

Winners have emerged in the keenly contested Quran competition of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, Oshodi Central Branch.

The Quran competition which was held virtually, had three categories, Juz Amma, Juz Tabarak and Juz Mujadillah.

Over 50 competitors put in for the competition which was later left with 12 contenders at the final stage of the knowledge-based competition.

At the final stage of the competition which was held on Saturday, 6 March, 2021 Tasleemah Anifowoshe emerged 1st position, Thanni Maududi 2nd and Muhammad Sanusi third position respectively in the Juz Amma category.

While Aishat Animashaun, Fadeyi Uthman and Adeyemi Hamidah came first, second and third in the Juz Tabarak category.

For the Juz Mujadillah category AbdAzeez Lukman, Soliah Shittu and AbdFattah Muhammad emerged victorious in the first, second and third positions respectively.

Each of the winners was presented with gifts in appreciation of their effort to have emerged successful in the competition.

While speaking at the presentation of prizes, Amir (President) of the MSSN Oshodi central branch, Alhaji Luqman Edu, thanked the participants for their display of brilliance and mastery skills from the primary stage to the final.

Edu said winners would have been given much higher prices but for the paucity of funds, he, therefore, appeal for well-meaning Nigerians to aid the cause of the competition in future.
